There’s nothing like a birds’ eye view to see the bigger picture and get back in touch with yourself. Atop the tucked away haven of Treetops Laurel Canyon, lifestyle mecca Sportluxe and The Upside hosted an intimate gathering of wellness women to celebrate two Aussie companies with a shared view of the world, taking on the world. Helmed by The Upside founder, Jodhi Meares and Sportluxe founder Bianca Cheah, the morning (fittingly) centred around a sublime hilltop yoga class led by renown yogi Miki Ash overlooking the sloping valleys of greater Los Angeles. The rustic, wood flecked charm of the property was the ultimate compliment to the lashings of black yoga mats and The Upside merchandise dotted around the grounds. The likes of Sophie Jaffe, Alyssa Lynch and Nazy Farnoosh wore new season The Upside (of course) sporting prints like Turkish Tile Print and Daisy Chain while they owned the morning; saluting the sun, savouring shavasana and taking in that view. Once centred, the group were treated to Banana Bread Matcha, Rainbow Bowls and Vege Frittata served up by fellow Aussie institution, Bondi Harvest. The Upside X Sportluxe’s palm festooned coffee and cold press juice cart made sure to keep the ladies both caffeinated and hydrated (gotta have that balance!) but the real star of the show was the swing. Now limbered up, guests like Hannah Linderman and London Ellis swung to their heart’s content proving that good company, the great outdoors, sparkling health and full hearts really can make you feel on top of the world.
